13 January Observation
Right ascension 5 hours, 41 minutes, 52 seconds
Declination 26 degrees, 56' 34"
Magnitude -1.1
Distance from Earth: 0.660 AU
Mars is now little more than an orange-yellow disk in the cold January sky as our planet continues to pull ahead of it in orbit around the sun. What might be surface detail, or what might be a "phase" is still barely visible, but I doubt if it will be for much longer.
